Infrastructure and logistics

  

We plan and set up our infrastructure for fast and high quality job execution. Our time schedules are unmatched in the business today. We have different type of vehicles which are set up and modified for maximum efficiency. Splicing is typically done in difficult terrains as shown in the picture here.

 

We have to negotiate harsh terrain to reach remote sites. Typical hot desert terrain and dusty dirt tracks to negotiate. We are well equipped with 4-wheel drive vehicles and precious driving experience for negotiating these terrains.

 

 

 

A slushy river being negotiated to reach a Power-Grid Tower site. We are equipped with GPS Navigation Aids to help us trace our paths. We have pinpoint details about the sites in which we have worked. We have also prepared detailed maps of the areas.

We are specialists in Utility Optic fibre lines. Power Grid Corp. one of the biggest utility installer of Optic fibres in India, is one of our clients. We have done work on all types of their cables – Skywrap, OPGW and ADSS. We have also been rated as the best when it comes to speciality splicing. We have experience on splicing the Dispersion – shifted fibres to the specifications set by World Bank consultants.
Cable Fault Removal under difficult conditions  

We detected a cable fault by testing the line with an OTDR and localized the fault to a location submerged underwater on the banks of the River Godavari. After waiting for the water level in the rainwater channel to drop, dykes were built with sand bags around the area that was being trenched. The old cable and duct were pulled out and water drained with a petrol/kerosene pump purchased for this purpose. Here is a snap from our Skywrap cable installation site.

A new duct was installed by digging two new joint pits. The new section of cable is then spliced and put through the ducts. We do not presently take up any civil works. We only guide the installation people on the methods and processes.
An even more challenging situation when even the pump could not overpower the running water channel, we dived underwater to extract the joint closure and return it into the duct after splicing.
