Software development at Customised Technologies is focussed on two avenues - microcontroller-based embedded systems and application software.

Other examples of software developed here include the Splice Loss Test Reporter, which conveniently generates reports from OTDR measurements for Optic Fibre testing, Announciators and RS232 interfaces, and other software for image analysis and statistics.

Splice loss Test Software

Used for quick generation of Optic fibre route splice loss test reports. The longer the faster. Typically a 50km route with 15joints of 24 fibres would take about a day with two people. This software will cut down the time to about 45 minutes with just one person.
Due to the speed, test reports will be generated on-site. Very useful for Optic-fibre installers as well as Maintenance personnel. Maintenance people can cut the down time.
This software picks up the data directly from the OTDR (Optical Time Domain reflectometer) files that are downloaded to the laptop working on Win98 or above.
